JWP-ARENA CLASSIC MOUTHS

CURRENT SELECTION OF MOUTH PIECE'S FOR OUR BITS IS SHOWN BELOW. PLEASE REFERENCE THE NUMBER DESIGNATION FOR THE MOUTH THAT YOU WOULD LIKE IN YOUR BIT.

Our snaffle mouths have become a very popular item amongst trainers and worka'day ranch cowboys. #2 The two piece or Dog Bone gives great feel in the mouth for the colt. Then we have the regular snaffle,#3 combine it with any cheek for a little transitional feel to a young horse. And last we have the Billy Allen #4, for those times when we need independance and movement in the shoulders of a horse, thats what it is there for.

Here are the open ported mouths that have proven to be the most popular over time.

For those folks looking for a lower port, but one that a horse can feel and respond to, I think that we have what you are looking for within this section. Our most popular mouth of all is the number #11 Frog mouth, it is a great choice for the older and well broke horse.

When it comes to CLASSIC mouth pieces here is what you will be looking for. Enough height to give signal in the palette zone, enough sweep to the port to offer softer signal, and enough mass to offer that great feel that west coast bridles have come to be known for. Our Floral Ports are indeed unique, they incorporate integral hoods, plenty of copper inlaid into each mouth.

NEW ITEMS FROM JWP- 3 NEW MOUTHS that replaced old numbers.

The first mouthpiece shown above is our Mona Lisa #5 reference number which renounded trainer Don Dodge made so popular oh so many years ago. Like many other things good design never goes out of style, as with our version, we added our own face to a great functional design. The hooded port gives the bronze cricket amplified sound, the mouth comes in at 2" tall. This is the type of mouth many horses really get along with.

That next mouth piece, is what we are calling a Wide Half Breed #6 mouthpiece reference . I guess as mouths go, it is sort of a new revelation and only seen in a few places thus far. Yes, we do hope to change all that, as the mouth has plenty to offer you and your horse. Its a little softer in the pallet signal with the wide spoon style port top, combined with the fact that it gives that full mouth sensation that some horses seek for comfort. A mouth this wide and full, takes alot of thesurprise out of the rein signal when you ask, versus a real tall narrow port style. Its all about FEEL, and this mouth offers as much as we can give without going to a full spade configuration. Try one in the new AC1500, and I think you will agree with the other customers who have done so, that feels great is the usual response.

The third new mouth is the El Segundo which is now the #21 mouth and is 2 inches high and great feel and response!
