SOME NEW SILVER MOUNTS TOO LOOK THRU

This is really a Santa Brabara Cheek as most of you know, but since hte pattern is quite close to one that AB Hunt made so many years ago. We just thought it right that we give him the credit. We made our version a little lighter, as well as a little shorter that did Abbey. This one measures right at 8" long, loose jawed and mounted in sterling sections. The engraving is bright cut satyle that has been given an antique finish. The mouth is a San Joaquin. We used a "Griswold Blue" on this pair of cheeks, and really like the affect we got. This bit sports our premier rien chains, done in stainless and griswold blue steel links, with delux swivels at the center. It is July the 21st-2012 and I am for sale as of tonight.

This is our version of the Santa Barbara Cheek , we done ours with an oval center piece rather than the usual circle..........yes I know, for those of you who live in the confines of Alta Californio bridle bit superstition. This will probably cause the earth to counter rotate and your horses mane to fall out. The length is right at 7.5 inches aand requires a little deeper slobber bar than usual for face clearance on the horse.. This version done in browned steel with striped edges. The spade in this version is right at 4" tall, with an engraved top done in Acanthus. Acanthus is a weed that grows wild around most gun engravers work shop windows. This bit has our standard rien chains on it.

Estancia is our name for the cheek, but in reality it is a 7 5/8 long circle center Santa Barbara cheek. This bit is FULLY INLAID, which I dont do very often. It has striped edges. A loose jawed half breed mouth and a triple slobber chain bottom. We put a set of our permier rien chains on this bit. There is quite a bit of engraving on the inside of the cheeks, done single point style, and some small details cut on the steel on the front surface of the cheeks that make it all quite interesting. We choose the Griswold Blue for these cheeks and are really happy with the way it turned out. This bit will be listed for sale, but I have a buyer in southern California who has the first option on it, if he passes then I will accept anyone esle who may be interested in it.- Sorry, but he asked me about 3 years ago for a chance at an inlaid bit.

Handmade bit for a guy who rides very nice horses in Tehachapi. Is he a good customer.........well, he has about 6 maybe 7 of he silver mounts we make. His goal is to buy one for each of his kids, and he has about 17 of them. Anyways, this cheek is also a Santa Barbara in its basic layout, we however call it a Caballo. The cheeks are 8" long, done in Plum Brown finish which accents the silver overlaid sections with my version of English Scroll engraving on them. Standard rien chains. This is a great take it and use it bit, that a lot of horses would get along with real well.- VERY SORRY BUT iI AM ALREADY SOLD AND LOPING AROUND A PEN SOMEPLACE NEAR YOU .

Caballo Cheeks again, but done with a 3.5 tall Spanish Spade mouth. The customer wanted high polished steel for the cheeks, which kind'a like as well it lets that patina from the west slowly envelope the cheeks and looks a little more natural in time. VERY SORRY BUT I AM SOLD.
