120818 Sanding block. I confess, I sort of made fun of this idea when I was first told about it........Now, I would not want to be without one. The sanding blocks sits on the bench beside my tiny Japanese bench block plane. Simply cut strips "ACROSS"your sheet of chosen sand paper, make the strip just a tad wider than the block. Insert one end of the paper strip into the VEE crease across the top, wrap strip around the entire block, slip the tightening wedge into place and insert the thumb screw to hold it fast. I find the paper that is used on wood to be the best- I use 120 and 320 the most. You may find other grits do a better job for you.
